Nebulas began its journey with the Vision of “Let everyone get values from decentralized collaboration fairly.” With the continued evolution of the “Autonomous Metanet”, Nebulas is building a new Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) for complex data networks that will fully embrace community, decentralization and autonomy on a contribution measured basis. The idea behind Proof of Devotion (PoD) Mechanism is to provide a measurable value of all users based on the size of their contribution to the ecosystem which includes pledging, consensus and governance mechanisms. There are two parts:

1. Consensus Mechanism: decentralize Nebulas’ blockchain nodes;

2. Governance Mechanism: decentralize community governance via the formation of a representative system and government committees.

Different from the traditional pledge/staking methods which require users to transfer funds to a contract, the decentralized pledge contract records the user's pledge while the assets are still controlled and stored at the user's personal address.

1. Users have the absolute ownership of personal assets;

2. avoids the risk of loss due to technical issues;

3. participation in pledge is easier which we expect to lead to significant activity increases.

The user's dStaking rewards is the feedback of their contribution of holding token. Used in PoD governance voting, ecosystem incentives and other use cases, constitutes a positive-feedback economy. For example, users vote for nodes via NAX, the candidate node ranking algorithm references to block stabilization index and NAX vote number. Then it considers the contribution of holding token and generating blocks.

Nebulas' Community Collaboration Platform (go.nebulas.io) was launched on March 25, 2019, with the intention to explore a new collaboration model. It aims to reduce the difficulty level of community participation, inject new ideas, creativity and to have others help with the continued construction of Nebulas.

On the Go.nebulas platform, community members can make their own recommendations for new and existing projects, participate in proposals and monitor the ongoing development process of all active projects. Nebulas' latest on-chain governance model innovation and token economy will also be launched on the community collaboration platform.
